Sensitivity Levels
With Cover you can personalize Auto-Hide™ strength any time, to any level. This means you have total control over the type of content that is visible on your device. We’ve developed this feature to protect the user from unwanted explicit content and also to protect their privacy. By setting your preferred strength, Cover will scan any photos or videos that are currently on your device and any content that is sent to you. Meaning, you can adjust the scanner to the level that reflects the content that you are comfortable being shown on your device, explicit or not.
When getting started with the app, you should adjust the scanner to the level that reflects the content that you are comfortable being shown on your device. The more sensitive you are to explicit content, the lower the number should be on the scale.
We offer our users custom Sensitivity Levels™ to make sure they’re comfortable with the number of photos that automatically get stored within Cover. Use the Sensitivity scanner to adjust the level of explicit content allowed to be visible on your device. The more sensitive you are to explicit content, the lower the number should be on the scale. Depending on where you set the scale, Auto-Hide might misidentify non-explicit content on your phone. If this happens, you can simply ‘Uncover’ it.
Levels are broken down into four categories:
Most sensitive
Choosing the most sensitive means that you want all explicit content caught and stored away at the expense of Auto-Hide misidentifying a few photos.
Second sensitive
When choosing a second sensitive, note that most of the explicit content will not be visible on your device. However, this also means that Auto-Hide could misidentify some photos and videos.
Next sensitive
Choosing the next sensitive means that you want explicit photos and videos moved to a secure vault without misidentifying other content.
*Note that Auto-Hide will catch explicit content but will not misidentify any photos & videos in your vault.
Not sensitive
If you choose “not sensitive” you have or are likely to have explicit content on your device. Auto-Hide can assist in creating an encrypted vault.
